I'm in a real debate with myself. I cannot decide if I want to buy one of these Android units or put together something that runs Win 8 or 10. I would just need to buy a touchscreen as I have everything else for the Windows setup.
Where some of the issues lie, are the outputs on the Android units. They seem to be about 2v vs. the 5v to 8v I'm used to dealing with and the signal to noise ratio is at 80db, where as most of the stuff I run is at 100db or greater. Also, there seems to be issues dealing with storage. I have a fairly large music and music video library, which is part of the reason why I want to move to one of these platforms for easier management.
Android certainly seems to have the right apps for what I want, but I don't know about the storage or even the SQ that I would get with it. I have some higher end audio in my vehicle and I don't want to send some poor audio through it.
Thanks for any thoughts you all might have on this...
