I'm setting up a system for building 2 different roms for 2 devices, so that is 2 build trees and 4 builds total. I have 4 320GB hard drives and 8GB of RAM to work with on an Intel Core2 Quad q6600. Currently 2 are RAID 0 and have Windows and Ubuntu and the other 2 are RAID 0 and have the sources, CCACHE path and the /out folders for each build. Most of the time I like to build clean. Raid is a FakeRAID off the motherboard.
Need some advise as to the optimum setup.
1. Should I split the RAID of CCACHE and /out to their own non-RAID drives?
2. Should I split the RAID of Windows and Ubuntu, and move the CCACHE with Ubuntu?
3. Should I split everything up, Windows by itself, Ubuntu with CCACHE, source and /out on separate drives?
4. Leave it the way it is and be glad all 4 roms build without errors? LOL
