[help]Samsung Galaxy S Plus GTi9001 TWRP bootloop

Hey everyone;

I've been experiencing a problem with my phone recently(Samsung Galaxy S Plus GTi9001). It's been bootlooping all of a sudden with no apparent cause after average usage. I have scoured the internet for a solution, but to no avail. I shall try to summarize everything that led up to this in this post:

I had installed Chritopher83's CM12 custom rom on the device using the given instructions and the specially partitioned TWRP recovery provided.

Everything worked smoothly for a couple of months with the only oddity being optimisation of apps on every boot, which used to take uncharacteristically long.

Then I faced this problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr46ugrpL6U">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr46ugrpL6U" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">. The device boots normally until the TWRP logo and flashes over and over again. From what I've been able to gather, this is due to an error in the bootloader.

I'm unable to access recovery to perform a data reset or reflash a new rom. When I try to connect it to a PC, I get the error "USB device not recognised". This also prevents me from using adb or ODIN to flash anything(using adb gives me the "waiting for device" forever). I tried following the advice mentioned in the FAQ of the ROM herehttp://ift.tt/1N4qDJk, but even that gets stuck at waiting for device.

Hoping for your help in resolving this problem...
