Red lines (burn in) on 1 year old phone!

Hello there, my Moto X 2014 is just over a year old and I am facing this unusual premature burn in across the length of the display.

This should not happen so early and the Moto Service Centre is quoting Rupees 15000 ($250 approx) to replace it for me. :/

I am extremely unhappy with this issue and would like some help.

EDIT - The pictures aren't too clear (Taken with my Nexus 7) so I'll try to upload clearer ones when the sun rises tomorrow.
