HTC M8 - Wiped system and now TWRP Hangs

Hi all, i have a HTC M8 and wanted to instal a custom ROM so i installed TWRP and wiped everything on that phone.. now when i instal TWRP again it just hangs (pink writing: entering recovery) can anyone help please? i think the firmware i used isn't correct either.. could this be the problem? i'm in the UK but have been told the phone is US varient on T-Mobile.. i just want TWRP to enter recovery so i can flash Revolution HD ROM for now until i can find correct firmware and RUU.
