Hello XDA, today I decided to make my mother's tablet a bit less clunky by adding some custom ROM. Sadly I've tried 4 custom ROMS for the 4.4.2(Sweet Dreams 3.1, sweet dreams 2, some stock rom, and another stock rom) all of them did the exact same thing on the tablet, flashing goes well, I wipe everything before starting the flash. When I turn it on, I get a black screen, with backlight, the samsung logo sound(while the screen is still black), and goes into the OS, I can hear when I use tab back or the home button, but still the screen is black, then I googled a bit and it was something "common" so there is a step to it to display(hold vol -, power, and home), but mine only displays a safe mode and I can't get anything from that just a black screen with the tools bar and without keyboard. So is there any chance for this device to get the upgrade to kitkat, it's running 4.1.2 and I just really want it to feel less ****ty for my mom. Thanks!
