Ok, I may have gotten in over my head with this one
.
I was trying to install CWM recovery on my Alcatel 4037R (OneTouch Pop D3), using SP Flash Tool. Ran into a few road bumps along the way that prevented a successful flash (ie. "PMT changed for the ROM it must be download"). So I formatted the flash (going by the instructions in this video. After formatting, the next error I got prevented the loading of the scatter file ("BBCHIP type invalid error 1003"). SP Flash Tool was telling me the chip type was MT6582, and I was loading a scatter file for MT6572 (far as I can tell, the Pop D3's seem to have variations in the MediaTek wifi chips; MT6572, MT6582, MT6571 ). I finally got the "OK" on flashing the MT6582 scatter file.
But then instead of loading CWM, the result is, the phone is completely dead. The light won't even turn on unless it's connected to AC power! Any way to reflash and recover this thing or is my phone toast??
